Excavation continued in locus 1. Darker soil is appearing throughout the western sector under the lighter colored soil of the supposed dirt dump. One special find was made this morning.

Excavation continued in locus 1. The entire trench was lowered approximately 5 to 7 cm. today. Then the balk walls were trimmed. Today, approximately 3 bowls of well-worn terracotta fragments were recovered. Approximately 1/2 latte box of
pottery sherds found (mostly impasto, some coarse ware) along with 9 bone fragments. One special find was made this afternoon.
