Grand total: 170 fragments

Relatively little bone was recovered from T 59 in 2014.

Loci 1 , 2 , and 3 , which were topsoil, yielded very little bone; only 19 fragments of bone or 11.17% of all bone recovered came from these three loci (16 fragments from Locus 1 and 3 fragments from Locus 3 ). Of these 19 fragments, all were non-diagnostic or unidentifiable in terms of animal species.

Locus 4 yielded nearly one-third of all bone recovered in T 59, with 52 fragments, or 30.59% of the overall bone assemblage. While most of the bone was unidentifiable or non-diagnostic, some bone recovered from this locus was worked; a carved bone plaque fragment ( 20140041 20140041 ) was found in this locus. Furthermore, two vertebrae, likely from a cow, were recovered from this locus ( 20140102 20140102 , 20140110 20140110 ).

By far the most bone was found in Locus 5 , from where 99 fragments, or 58.24% of the total bone assemblage, was recovered. Numerous diagnostic fragments, including jaw bones preserving teeth, were found in this locus. No bone recovered from this locus was decorative.

It must be noted that nearly all bone recovered from both Loci 4 and 5 were burnt in antiquity.

No bone was recovered from Loci 6 , 7 , or Baulk Trim.
