Cut in meters E126-127, S17-18 to the west of stone feature in E128-129, S17-18 was continued.  Area was leveled to approx. 75cm.b.d.  Soil remained consistent with descriptions of locus 17 and maintained that designation.  A heavy concentration of tile fragments* was removed from E126, S17 along the western baulk at the pre-existing dirt dump.  In addition 17 small chunks of plaster were recovered from this work.

Stone feature in E128-129, S17-18 was defined and cleaned.  Area maintained designation locus 16.

*12-15 fragments of 10-15cm.

Continued cut in meters E126-127, S17-18.  Soil remained consistent with descriptions of locus 17 and maintained that designation.  The area was leveled to an approx. depth of 80cm.b.d.  From this work a loom weight (find #1) was recovered, as well as 1 1/2 latte boxes of ceramic and bone and 1 full cassetta of terracotta fragments.

The stone feature in meters E128-129, S17-18 was further defined.  This work yielded 1/4 latte of ceramic and bone, 25 fragments of terracotta and several fragments of vitrified metal (find #2 PM).

Baulks were trimmed along north

and west.  Two architectural decoration fragments were removed from m E127, S17 from a higher strata (find #3 PM).
