Began troweling in Locus 5 , a dark brown organic debris rich humus layer, to define the rocks seen on the surface level. After defining the rocks, which are 4-8cm in size, created a two centimeter pillaring around them to search for any rocks they are sitting directly above. No underlying stones found in that pillaring. Rock feature photographed. Rocks removed at trench level in order to allow for a pick pass. Pick pass done over whole area of Locus 5 . Soil sorted and cleaned, roots clipped. Prepared to declare Locus 6 over the whole area of the trench. Photographs taken. Opening elevations of Locus 6 taken:

NW corner: 28.36m A.E.

NE corner: 28.45m A.E.

SE corner : 28.55m A.E.

SW corner : 28.54m A.E.

Locus 6 is a medium brown clay like soil with yellow soil inclusions, especially around tree roots.

Decided to extend the extension 1 meter north to investigate some rocks appearing at surface level just outside of the current northern line.

Locus 7 declared over the new extension area. Locus 7 is a dark brown, organic debris filled humus layer. Pick pass done over whole area of the trench except for where rock is visible and collected on the surface. Troweling done around the rocks to expose their full extent. Roots clipped in preparation for photographing. Photograph taken of rock feature in the trench. Rocks removed in preparation for a pick pass over the entire area. Soil sorted and cleaned.
