T-23 Summary: Meters AA/11-12 were cleaned down to 90 cm in all places. C-D/10 taken to 90 cm further.

Meters AA/11-12 were taken down to 5 cm further to bring the floor level to 90-95 cm and just above a clay layer. In addition, the edges of the trench in this area were cleaned more vertical. The cut at the AA-BB border displays the soil stratigraphy as shown below.
Thus, two burn layers appear to be present. In general, however, the soil is gray brown.
Meters D-C/10 were further excavated. The stones at 40 cm were removed after it was decided that they were not part of a wall (this because tile extended beneath the stones). Presently the meters are at the level shown below:
The soil of these meters shows the same stratigraphy as meters D/11-12.
