Due to wet ground the northern end of the trench was not excavated further. The remainig strips of ground in the southern end was taken down to the level of the top of the wall (25-30cm) with again very few tiles and one unusually large terracotta rochetto at 6.25 N and 2.50m E ( 19670005

).

At the end of the day the workmen began cleaning stumps for a new trench east of and parallel to 1K (to be designated 1L) and discovered just under the surface another piece of horse-race frieze.
