A.M.
Work continued lifting the fill off the floor as before. Damp or damaged sections such as areas to the west and south were left to dry and harden in the sun. The footprint tiles were covered by sand in addition to plastic and soil. These tiles will be left until last to uncover. Old rock dumps in areas to be excavated here were moved.
P.M.
Backfill ove r the floor continued to be lifted. A small burned fragment of ivory molding was found in this fill along with the usual few pieces of tile, plaster and ceramic.
