Bone Analysis:

460 fragments of animal bone were found in T 62 during the 2015 excavation season. The most fragments, 350, were recovered from Locus 16 , the fill impacted against the upper courses of the well during its initial construction. Relatively few bones, however, were recovered from the interior of the well ( Locus 19 ). Of the total fragments several diagnostic fragments-- 20150003

20150003 , 20150038 , 20150039 --were cataloged because upon further analysis they may possibly provide information about consumption or production regarding fauna and their byproducts in the area of Tesoro West.

Furthermore, several joining fragments of bone recovered in 2014 from the surface level and analyzed during the 2015 season were found to be human parietal skull fragments ( 20140140 ). Because the fragments were found in an Archaic context and its breaks are ancient, but the fragments were found together, it seems likely that they are not moved far or at all from their original point of deposition. Such a find implies a possible narrative of violence around the aperture of well, tentatively associated with the infilling of the interior.
