Daily Log

July 11, 1997, Friday

A.M.

This morning was spent drawing a top plan of the feature, which is undoubtedly a well, and a section drawing showing the north side of the interior of the well and the baulk to either side of it.

A decision as to how to, and if, further excavation should take place to reveal how deep the well runs, is still being decided. The main concern is to preserve the feature and to come up with a non-destructive method of excavation.
