Topsoil was removed from V-W/54. A possible "fang" fragment was found in this cut.
A second cut was begun in V-X/53-55 to a depth of 25 cm. Large stones exist at surface level and at this depth in V/53-54. Some were removed. Earth in this cut is loose and brown. Another possible "fang" came out of this cut. A stump in X/54 was removed. Large amounts of tile and some pithos fragments were found. Photos were taken before second cut was begun.

50-53/V-Y was taken down to 25 cm below surface. Tile fragments are found in abundance; two cassette were dumped at the end of the day. The area of V/51 produced several large pieces of tile as well as a ridgepole fragment with a finger mark (letter?). Of particular interest was a cavetto fragment found in W/50 (Find #4, above).
Soil continues to be loose brown dirt with occasional stones. One latte box of pottery was found. The majority of pottery is worn coarseware - two coarse handles and lip fragments among many body fragments. One piece of grayware and one creamware fragment were found.
