Baulk walling done on all four walls, soil sorted and cleaned, and material collected as baulk. Leveling done across trench, material collected as baulk. Leveling done across trench, material collected as Locus 3 .

Leveling finished. Began 20cm sounding in the central east-west meter to investigate the yellow soil further. Elevations taken:

NW corner—10N/3W: 28.04m A.E.

NE corner—10N/2W: 28.01m A.E.

SE corner—7N/2W: 28.03m A.E.

SW corner—7N/3W: 28.05m A.E.

Material collected as Locus 3 . No material recovered in leveling, so any material found from sounding. Pick pass done over whole meter 3-5cm deep. Soil sorted and cleaned, remains consistent with Locus 3 , yellow soil with white inclusions that seem to be deteriorating rock. Pick pass through entire area of sounding. Soil cleaned and sorted, remains consistent with Locus 3 . Pick pass through entire area of sounding. Soil sorted and cleaned, remains consistent with Locus 3 .
