The tile fall in the vicinity of the M/85 pan tile was cleaned further. L/85 revealed a heavy plaster layer directly above the large quantities of tile fragments. Much plaster was removed in order to reveal the tiles. Pan tiles are more common than cover in this area. In spots where cleaning went deeper than the tile layer, the black burn layer can be seen - just as it is visible directly below the M/85 pan tile. L-M/82 also revealed the plaster > tile > burn sequence. Bone fragments come out of this cut and a few pieces of coarseware.
K/81 and J/81-85 were taken down to the level of the 2nd cut. Since top soil had been removed from parts of this area previously, the depth of the cut varies. Almost one cassetta of tile was found. 1/4 of a latte box of pottery.
