The morning began by defining the rocks in the trench moving from south to north. Very little is being found. The soil is mostly grayish brown. Some of the yellowish brown soil is being uncovered between the rocks in the lower pumis of the trench. While clearing an iron bar fragment was recovered (SF#1).

The rocks continue to be defined. Most of them appear in the eastern half of the trench. We continued to define the stump in the northwestern corner. A few roots were removed. A shallow pick pass was done in the middle of the trench between the stones and the stump. More rocks were struck during the pass and clumps of yellowish brown soil were coming up. The rocks were further defined. While clearing soil near the stump a fragment of
Medieval rim was found (SF#2).
