Continued to mesti around plaster/tile concentratin in K-L(M)/69-70. Level of trench floor was 117-120 bd at 7am. 1/2 cassette plaster ant tile was dumped from 6/28/90 excavation. Aread continued to produce tile and plaster fragments layered one on the other with very little intrusive dirt. The soil remains unchanged except in K/70 where a red-orange layer appeared at 116 bd presumeably from decomposed tile and plaster. This area (K-L(M)/69-70) averages 120 cm bd. Finds = slag, painted pottery
Meters K-L-M/63-64: completed cut to 105 cm bd. A section was drawn including a large flat rock encountered at ~105 cm. The soil continues (from 6/28) to include decomposed plaster and small tile fragements with very little charcoal. One latte box of pottery was recovered. Finds include: incised orange ware and an orange ware handle. Approx 3/4 of cassette of tile:plaster fragments found.

Mesti work continued in K-L/69-70. As expected more tile and pithos fragments were uncovered as well as plaster chucks. The depth of the concentration is now 124 cm bd minmal pottery was recovered from this area; the sherds just covered the bottom of the latte box. Rather large pieces of carbon were found, some as large as 3x4 cm.
Another cut was made in/begun in L-M/63-64 bringing the level of the trench floor to 112 cm bd. The soil here continued to include plaster and charcoal, but the concentration is not as dense as in the last cut. Finds from this area and cut included: cut out akroterion and painted Greek pottery; 1 latte box of pottery and ~ 1/4 cassette of tile fragments.
