Description Locus 2 was comprised of a yellowish-brown, claylike soil. It extended across most of the trench but did not include the northeast corner of the trench, where a rock feature of stones arranged in a rectangular shape was located; this rock feature was Locus 3. Locus 2 contained some larger rocks in the northwestern and southwestern corners of the trench; the rocks found in the southwest corner continued eastward along the southern boundary of the trench and joined with a similar rock feature in T-70 to the south, but these rocks appeared to be a natural formation. Locus 2 also contained very few examples of terracotta tile, pottery, and bone, but all materials recovered from this locus appeared to be ancient, indicating that it may have been a contextually secure deposit.
