Description | Locus 5 consists of a yellow-gray soil that extends throughout the entire trench. Throughout the trench, especially in the southern end, was soil made up of decomposing rock matter. This soil chipped off like a rock but could be easily broken in hand. Locus 5 also had two significant areas of large stones, one in the north and one in the center of the trench. Locus 5 produced no material in excavation and it was determined that it was galestra and bedrock. |
