Description Locus 11 was opened directly below Locus 10. Locus 11 appeared to be galestra, and was excavated in order to make sure that the soil was completely sterile. No material was recovered from Locus 11, thus confirming it as galestra. It is a flakey, yellowish-gray soil which appears to be composed of small flakes of rocks.
