Title | Statue Fragment |
Description | A terracotta statue fragment preserves a tear drop-like shape. One end is narrower and the piece flares out before ending in a rounded, finished bottom. The shape is not regular on all sides; one side is more tear-drop like, while the reverse side preserves more of a banana-like shape and an incision that runs lengthwise. All sides are finished except for the narrow end of the fragment, which has a fresh break. The shape of the fragment looks like it could be the end of a piece of hair on an antefix, except it is too large and the shape is not perfect (19850083) |
