Trench Layout
Trench Layout
VT7, VT8, and VT9 were established and laid out parallel to the eastern edge of the Tennis Court. They were triangulated from a 15 meter line running approximately N.NW/ S. SW. Consequently, the trenches are not orientated according to a true north-south axis. Later a Total Station established the co-ordinates of the trenches in relation to a grid established in for the 2006 excavations in Vescovadi di Murlo. The same origin pointless used to calculate the datum as that used in 2006.
Trench coordinates and Elevations:
a. (N.W.): -6.14m/-13.54m
b. ((N.E.): -5.17m/-8.63m
c. (S.E.): -8.09m/-8.05m
d. (S.W.): -9.09m/-12.97m
