Field Description | Massive, crumbly moist, dark brown [7.5YR4/4] silty clay with yellow blobs (taranakite?), white fleck and black spots (apatite). Quite diagenetic but doesnt look like hearth but rather dismantled hearth material. |
THIN SECTION Observations | Finely bioturbated but compressed. Could be trampled. Burnt components and charcoal dispersed throughout. Large, mm size displacive blob phosphate. |
