Description SU 7123 removes 7120_f1, since it seems very clear that it is floating on fill soil. Once removed our hypothesis is confirmed—we come down on the same loose, silty clay as before with the diagnostic clay inclusions as pockets. Context material remains same too: Ceramics, while mortar/plaster (i.e. a debris) has trickled down to nothing, almost.

It is not entirely clear what the function of these stones was. They are floating, but sizeable and were presumably placed here for a reason. The size of our SU simply won’t allow us to answer this at present. Probably just part of the fill, generally. SU closed once 7120_f1 is removed.
