Description A fragment of a gorgon antefix, preserving much of the upper brow with the inner half of the right coil of hair above the brow and a slightly greater portion of the left coil of hair. A diagonal break at right has removed all but the inner corner of the eye and its socket. This break intersects with the curve of the lower break just below the lower knob of the nasal bridge. The left eye is largely preserved by the lower break, with most of the lower eyelid sheared away. The back preserves the semicircular scar where the piece broke away from its tile backer. The surface is uniformly worn, with a few traces of white slip over all.
