Description Locus 2 is a yellow-brown soil that is sandier than locus 1. There are far fewer organics present and less small rocks. Tile, pottery, and bone are present. Large intact fragments of tile was recovered from the southern half of this locus. One in three buckets in this locus were sieved. More finds were concentrated in the Northern half of this locus. An unusual fenestrated pottery fragment(20130030), forni fragments (20130019, 20130004), decorated bucchero fragment(20130013) rocchetti fragments (20130051, 20130029), worked antler (20130100), and a knob handle (20130022) were found in the locus. Slag and vitrified terracotta was found in this locus. This locus is an ancient context. Locus 2 is connected on the Harris Matrix to locus 4, 5, and 12.
