Field Description From base of bedded ashes in E and at sharp contact with brownish, compact sediments below it [Layer F?]. Burrow, right behind where sample was collected. Sediment quite light weight. Upper half of sample also with ashy upper part, consists of cm thick layers of altered ash with red clay balls. Below this, sediment is more massive, compact and less crumbly, although burrowed by numerous mm size insect burrows filled with reddish yellow soft silt. Silty and with some seed coats.
