Bird Specimens Description | >4mm flotation #5084 (#1-6) is more than half amphibian and a bit of mammal. Bird bone is mostly long bone shaft fragments with one vertebra; mostly medium bird, about 60% burnt. >4mm flotation #5076 (#7-17) is more than half amphibian and mammal. The birds are mostly long bone shaft fragments from a range of bird sizes, and a few diagnostic bits from wing and leg. About 3/4 burnt. >4mm flotation #5081 (#18-23) is more than half amphibian and mammal, but has several bird fragments from throughout the body, most of them burnt. >4mm flotation #5085 (#24-29) is mostly amphibian and mammal, but there are several fragments of bird long bone shaft and a large wing phalanx; about 25% burnt. |
