Description | Light Brown (Munsell 7.5 YR 6/4), compacted, silt layer, immediately overlying pavers of floor. This layer contained minimal amounts of pottery and no Nabataean ware. No pottery was found immediately on top of the floor itself and no large stones were found resting directly on the floor. This sterile layer seems to indicate that before the collapse of the area there was a period of abandonment. |
