Description | The head of this rocchetto fragment preserves a stamp, roughly rectangular in shape, on its upper surface. The stamp displays a stylized sphinx in low relief. The sphinx displays a human head, stands on four legs, and has two forward-curving wings projecting from a feline body. The slightly domed rocchetto head tapers into a cylindrical shaft. The thickness of the shaft is consistent. |
