Description | Fragment of a coarse vessel, convex in profile. Exterior surface has been smoothed but is still extremely irregular due to coarse texture of clay. Interior surface is extremely rough and heavily burned. At one corner (where there is a crack in the surface) there are traces of bronze embedded into the interior surface, which suggest the use of this vessel as a crucible. |
