Field Description 2 cm, dense, hard rock [3 YR 7/4] cemented ashes at base with very fine, sand syl TR balls. 2 mm lighter band at top then overlain by softer pink [5YR 8/3] sediments with five rootholes. Could be more weathered than underlying part and many of the sediments in this square would appear to be softer and possibly decalcified or phosphatized. “Loose” samples were collected, one with much bone, some of which was calcified. Much of the sediment here is similar with localized differences of bone, ash, and flint concentrations. Much of the ash is lenticular, pinching out; some are fishen, possible have been trampled/disturbed after cementation.
