Location | These cover approximately one half of the trench in the south. At a mid point in the trench or at about 3 m from the south balk, they extend across the trench from the Locus 5 south west wall to the Byzantine wall, Locus 7. |
Description | These pavers alternate between stretchers and headers. They are neatly fitted and are comprised of limestone and sandstone ashlars. Many of the limestone ashlars show signs of exfoliation and weathering. |
Size | The floor pavers measure north south 6.20 m-x-2.44 m at the widest point in the north which includes their measurement up to the Locus 8 threshold which they abut. At the south end of the trench measuring 1.66m, they extend under the balk. |
