Trench | T101_2022 |
Year | 2022 |
Description |
Locus 1 extended throughout the entirety of the original trench sloping slightly downward from north to south and from west to east. Locus 1 is considered to be topsoil, non-contextual and full of organic materials such as small and large roots (extending from a large tree on the southern wall of the trench) and small to medium sized rocks measuring between 10-34 centimeters in size. The soil of Locus 1 is a dark brown and breaks into large clumps. The depth of Locus 1 is shallow, measuring approximately 10 centimeters in depth. Very small amounts of pottery sherds, bone fragments, and architectural terra cotta are present in this locus and all materials found were heavily abraded due to erosion. No materials from this locus are considered to be contextual and there were no catalogued finds. Locus 1 is the locus directly on top of Locus 2. |
