Condition | Fragment bears worn and pitted finished surfaces, edges, and break edges and is slightly discolored by encrustation. A chip on the exterior surface under the handle measures 0.004 m in diameter. Fragment also preserves traces of dark slip on the interior and exterior surfaces. |
Description | A fragment of an oinochoe preserves part of the handle, 0.009 m in max. pres. length, at its point of attachment on a thicker area at the back of the tri-lobed spout, as well as approximately half of the rear right lobe measuring 0.026 m in width. The exterior surfaces of the spout and the handle, along with the top ridge of the preserved lobe display a substantial amount of dark-colored slip. A fan-shaped area 0.019 m x 0.028 m on the top of the handle displays traces of a lighter slip, wider at the edge of the spout and tapering down the handle. |
