Field Description Consists of 3 parts: (1) 0-2 cm: (brown) silt with yellow phosphatic flecks. (2) 2-6 cm: [dark brown] silt and the organic-rich part of the fire. Many yellow brown flecks of phosphate. (3) 6-10 cm: 7.5YR5/6 (strong brown), cemented silt. Some cm size burrows. Quite crumbly and some diagenesis and yellow blobs but softer than (2). Question is if (3) is burned or not.

THIN SECTION Observations Fresh clay; burnt red TR; trampled; blob phosphate. Charcoal dispersed and compressed.
