Field Description | Consists of 3 parts: (1) 0-2 cm: (brown) silt with yellow phosphatic flecks. (2) 2-6 cm: [dark brown] silt and the organic-rich part of the fire. Many yellow brown flecks of phosphate. (3) 6-10 cm: 7.5YR5/6 (strong brown), cemented silt. Some cm size burrows. Quite crumbly and some diagenesis and yellow blobs but softer than (2). Question is if (3) is burned or not. |

THIN SECTION Observations | Fresh clay; burnt red TR; trampled; blob phosphate. Charcoal dispersed and compressed. |
