Condition Broken across widest portion of the coiled member. A scar at outer edge.
Description Fragment of a "cut-out" akroterion preserving the coiled end of a curved member, two flat sides, one smooth, one unfinished, two flat, sharply curving edges. The outer constitutes the circumference of the coil, while its inner edge is formed by a cut-out circular hole. There is a scar at the outer edge where the coil attached to another member. The surface of the outer edge of the thinnest section of the coiled member, between the scar and the break, is left unfinished. At the surface of the break there is a small cavity with the preserved dimensions 0.014 x 0.009 x 0.011 m (depth), with smooth sides. See 19670489 and 19670484.
Fabric Description Murlo terracotta fired reddish brown on surface. Very slight traces of red slip on the finished side and the edges.
