Condition Fragment is highly worn, abraded, pitted, and encrusted. Ancient breaks along five edges, with one modern break. The modern break edge demonstrates a porous and discolored fabric which may indicate possible misfiring or later burning of the artifact. Several scratches and indentations from excavation. Consolidated from eleven fragments (several of these interior breaks modern and associated with modern tool marks).
Description A fragment of pan tile preserving a portion of the flange. The flange is max. pres. length of 0.13776m and max. pres. height of 0.04970m. The upper edge of the flange has a finished section 0.04514m in length. The finished face of the pan has a ferrous inclusion 0.08873m from the interior edge of the flange and with a max. pres. width of 0.00977m. The unfinished face of the fragment is relatively flat, but with several raised irregular and curving lines. The lines are about 0.00746m in thickness, but one element of them is almost oval with max. pres. length of 0.03659m and max. pres. width of 0.01755m.
