Observations two greyish tufo blocks appeared beneath grave of Fran (cut 1152) and beneath of rubble wall 1135 first, but were not understood.

Interpretation the two blocks are used to finally close the opening of a 10m deep well. Since they were definitely very useful when wall 1135 was constructed right about this opening, they might have been placed during the construction of the wall 1135. But other wells have capping stones too and the people in the past might have developed the habit of covering deep features with abandonment as a matter of care
