Description Very large unit. Integrity seems high. Just a small amount out of the dry sieve, without anything special. In general medium light to moderate wear. Many identifiable bones, ca. 50%, few burnt. One bird bone, one human. Remains of cattle. Sheep, sheep/goat, small equid, fox and pig. Some very large bones, among them a complete atlas and 3 distal humeri from large cattle. Also at least fragments of 4 different pelvis acetabula. Very few costa and vertebra fragments. There are quite some dental parts but few other cranial fragments. Many of the long bone fragments with fresh breaks probably belong to the humeri parts. DS: 2 articulating bird bones, mainly fragments of costa and long bones of size 3, horn core fragments of sheep, 3 dental elements. NR 2007: Some more hand-picked or dry-sieved material and a flotation sample have come to light. The dry-sieved is consistent with rhe rest in the low representation of ribs and lack of vertebrae, although it lacks the large pieces and most of the diagnostics are sheep/goat. Surface condition is generally good, but with a dark brown patina. A little gnawing and burning, no apparent digestion. Looks like slightly degraded midden or dirty fill. Sample ?? >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded as diagnostics and flot frags only. It is a moderate size sample of mostly highly fragmented sheep-size scrap, with a little large mammal. There are a few battered diagnostics, all sheep/goat except for a hare radius and a possibly shed human teeth, There are a couple of bird and a couple of microfauna. Some burning and digestion, surface condition mostly rather worn. Looks like fill.
