Condition Consists of five fragments, glued; broken on all sides; chipped; gray encrustation.
Description Small fragment of large vase, has relatively little curve; carries painted decoration: interior surface has traces of black paint over entire surface; exterior surface has part of an apparent band of decoration - 0.055 m. high, with design presumably originally reserved in orange (now gray encrustation) on a black background - a slightly curving band of varying width from which project two spirals, staggered on either side of the band; beside one spiral (partly preserved) is a small band-like area, and beside the other is a small tear-shaped area of (orange) inserted in the indentation between the springing of the spiral and the widening of the band, in the area below the design band, near one edge, is a small area of black paint which appears to describe a right angle.
