Description This Su continues into the floor fill and encounters the same soil and context material as 7118-loose, dark yellow-brown, silty clay, with isolated pockets of clay (a nice diagnostic characteristic). The context material has low mortar count while ceramics are now more common—typical of this fill.

We closed this SU when we came down of concentrated stones through, except in NW and SW, which (cp. SU 7121 NW) and SU 7119 (SW). We have already dug 7119 and will dig NW corner as 7121.

7120_f1: Consists of packed, concentrated stones of 10-15cm range, which may be a wall of some kind. It forms a T shape, though (see drawing). More exc. will be needed to assess this feature.
