Field Description | Soft brown, ashy hearth with much brown silt. Burrowed (worm casts). Some blob phosphates in darker brown burrows. Ashes possibly layered. NO LOOSE SAMPLE. |
THIN SECTION Observations | Insect burrowed silt/clays with opaque, occluded appearance (silica?). Layered bone pieces. Very finely divided charcoal but no large pieces. Looks extensively burrowed. Many seed coats. |
