Description | There is no ridge on the upper surface. On the bottom is a flat rough area where the foot broke away from its base; this ends in a raised scar under the ball of the foot. The pointed toe of the shoe does not bulge; it is positioned unusually close to the inside (left) edge of the foot, so that the foot is sharply curved around the toes on the outside edge and around the big toe joint on the inside edge. There are traces of red paint which appear purple. |
Fabric Description | Coarse clay with inclusions of stone fired orange. |
