Description This platform is interesting essentially because it aligns with nothing else in its immediate area, and is oriented diagonally with respect to the axis of the Temple’s architecture. Constructed of sandstone blocks and mortar, it is square and in good condition, and its corner is an almost 90 degree angle. Its bottom depth is unknown, although it probably rests on bedrock whether it is an earlier structure or a misaligned support feature.
Location To the southwest of the Southwest column, extending under this feature at the current floor-level.
Phase Description Phase I: Preparation: 1st c. BCE subterranean canalization is installed and the bedrock leveled with a coarse yellow soil.
