  • Orientalizing burn layer: soil has a dark gray appearance and contains lots of bone and pottery as well as fragments of tile, plaster and pithoi. Not excavated this season so the soil was not Munselled.
  • Brownish-orange soil with lots of plaster, terracotta, and carbon, which gives the soil a multi-colored or mottled appearance. Contains lots of bone and pottery.
