SUBJECT beads
DESCRIPTION 134 beads of various types: 54 of these were bone disc-beads and the other 76 were black faience ringbeads, all likely to have been once necklace elements. The ring-beads are made of black faience probably due to the large percentage of manganese oxide. They each demonstrate different levels of thickness. The bone disc-beads show a regular external surface but the holes have different diameters. For both types the piercing is bipolar. Although the tomb was robbed and damaged, the necklace was found in situ, around the neck of the deceased child. The original strand wwas realized with vegetable fibers, most likely linen. The thickness of the thread always conforms to the diameter of the perforation of the beads, which prevents it from slipping.
