| Description |
A topsoil deposit in the first locus of the trench, measuring 4m x 5m. The deposit was composed of dark brown, compact soil with small-medium sized rocks and many roots. Very little material, namely pottery, terracotta, and metal, was recovered. The scraping of this topsoil revealed a continuous bedrock outcropping underlying the whole locus, at which point the locus and the trench were closed. |
