Is the ash calcitic at all; is there also incipient alteration from apatite to leucophosphite, etc.? Are the burrows containing clay, which we expect below ~530 cm bd? Is there any charcoal in the charcoal layers? |
| THIN SECTION Observations | Charcoal only as fragments at top. Looks like diagenetically altered ashes with no calcite but apatite and likely leucophosphite. Some TR balls. Looks like terrier in spots. |
