Front surface is convex and decorated with low relief female head, which is seen in profile facing right; entire relief is inverted U-shape formed by grooves and ridges which indicate a draped head, thick drapery down back of head is thinner but extends to other side of head, where it appears to be a veil framing head; above triangular flat neck is half-oval shape of head with straight pointed nose continuing line of forehead, and with slight grooves marking mouth and almond shaped eyes (three concentric almond shapes). |
