Description | This is a Brown (Munsell 7.5 YR 5/4), loose, sandy overburden layer. The contents and quality of soil strongly resemble that of Locus 1. This area includes some large limestone ashlars, which could have collapsed from either the East Corridor Wall, or the east Inter-Columnar wall of the upper Great Temple during collapse 2. This layer contained some pottery and minimal amounts of Nabataean wares. |
