Condition A section from the rim of a crucible in two fragments. Broken diagonally in two below the rim, a large gap in the center of the break on the exterior. Broken vertically at left, diagonally up to the left below and at right. Surface much worn, encrusted with slag on the interior.
Description A fragment of a terracotta crucible, preserving a section of the rim. Convex in profile, curving in slightly to a flattened rim. Coated within with a thin layer of greenish black slag, weathered to a dark gray crust, with large white grits and several specks of bronze included, visible on surface and at breaks.
