Description Locus 7 occured in extension 2. It included a humus layer as well as a darker brown soil with minimal inclusions. There were small- to medium-sized rocks present in locus 7. Locus 7 contained a pocket of archaeological material; we uncovered 164 pieces of pottery and 107 pieces of bone as well as some worn terracotta. This locus eventually ended with white and yellow sterile soil like locus 6 across the majority of the trench; bedrock was uncovered along the southern baulk wall. Took 2 Munsell designations to capture the fact that several different soils were passed through. These cover the soil colors in the middle vertical strata of Locus 7.
